Few months ago my mother gave me a voucher to Ella Bache in Castletown. I hadnt had the time to use it with the kids and work but finally the other day I did. They were amazing. They were properly trained therapists. I will admit they were running about ten minutes behind but I was amazed at how they handled themselves with a staff member of sick and a line out the door. I went there just to use the voucher before it expired, but I was so impressed and have rebooked. The service they provided was above excellent. They knew what they were doing and had a heirarchy to follow. I would easily recommend this place to anyone who wants to be treated like royalty.

I KNOW A WONDERFUL DAY SPA ON MAGNETIC ISLAND WHO ONLY EMPLOY QUALIFIED BEAUTY/MASSAGE THERAPIST. YOU WOULD NEVER BE TREATED THIS WAY.

I am extremely disappointed that you did not have a good experience at our Day Spa.
I would love you to call us so we could have the chance to make this up to you, please ask to speak to a Supervisor as I have briefed them all on your experience and we hopefully can turn this bad experience into a pleasant one for you.
You can also ask them for my mobile number if you would like to speak to the owner, I have a Manager & two Supervisors on staff, I am currently very pregnant so I am not always on the premise.
We have a staff of x12 Day Spa Therapists, some are also Remedial Massage Therapists however we do not offer remedial massage as it is not usually a Day Spa service and it is widely available around town.
Our Therapists spend over $10’000. & study 12 months full time to receive their Cert IV or Diploma’s in Beauty Therapy, I then have them go through an intense 2 week specialised training course on our Day Spa treatments, our signature treatment is our Heated & Chilled Stone body massage.
We have a very high standard expectation from our Therapists, however occasionally we have a Therapist run off the rails, when this happens we try to work out the issues & if we are unsuccessful we then have to let them go.
Unfortunately due to water wastage & hygiene purposes most modern Day Spa’s no longer have Spa Baths or Vichy Showers, we do have regular showers in your room for treatments that require a shower.
I am looking forward to hearing from you as it is important to me that you have a good experience at our Day Spa, what a great idea WOMF is, as I might never had known about your complaint and we cant improve our service if we don’t know what we are doing wrong, I am now going to encourage all of our clients to use this service.

I've been a regular client of Tropical North for over a year now, usually getting the warm stone massage, but lately I've been getting facials as well as an occasional body treatment (full body salt scubs, hydration body wraps, hair and scalp treatment). I would not go ANYWHERE else for any beauty or spa treatment. As soon as you walk in the door, you are thrown into another world of relaxation and indulgence. With 3 children under the age of 6, it's so good just to have a couple of hours to yourself to be completely pampered. The girls there are absolutely FANTASTIC!! I almost always have a different girl and I have never had one slight thing to complain about from any of them.The team there are always so polite and friendly. Whenever I walk in, they know my name and ask me how I have been and how I felt after my last treatment. Their massage technique is better than anywhere I have been in Townsville or Sydney (my last residence). I have suffered from terrible back pain for years and I always feel so wonderful after a massage at tropical north. They make me feel completely new. I have tried massage clinics and many other salons around townsville and I have not found one that can ease my pain except the girls at tropical north. I have recommended it to every single one of my friends and they are now regulars and absolutely love it aswell. The girls are just so helpful as well, they take you to a beautiful relaxation area after your treatment and give you herbal teas and water and talk to you about your treatment and make sure you are 100% satisfied. I find it hard to believe that anyone has ever had a bad experience there, as every one of mine have been extraordinary. I've been going there for ages and will never go anywhere else. I LOVE TROPICAL NORTH

P.S - I personally would not like to use a spa that clients before me have been sitting in. I think that idea is disgusting and unhygienic and I'm glad that they don't offer these in spas around Australia anymore.

I have had lots of gift vouchers from TNDS given to me as presents. I absolutely luv the service provided by all the girls. They were all so professional and so calming to my stressed out body. I recommend all my girl friends to TNDS coz I loved it.

I also make a point of recommending it as my birthday and xmas pressies EVERY YEAR!!

Go there and experience it for yourself, you will not be dissapointed, believe me!!!

Well I would like to commend the manager/owner of Tropical North Day Spa on her e-mail. You are one in a million. I hope this lady contacts you and you can show her what a great day spa you have. The way you handled your repsonse to her e-mail was very professional most owners would not care, or would be abrupt and rude. I have also been to your day spa and I had a good experience your staff were friendly and I left feeling relaxed what more could you want. My father in law also recently went and my girlfriend visiting from Perth and they all had good things to say.
I also understand people have off days and this is unfortunate, so I really hope you get to show this lady how good your business is. I give you 10 stars because you cared enough to make the effort to respond.

I've been reading thru these forums and have seen a lot of negative press about business and have seen that press then be censored by 4TO, although i do think that customers at times go off half-cocked and highly opinionated spreading a bad rap around town, warranted or not. Though i don't think 4TO has the right to censor their opinion at the demands of the businesess unhappy with customers opinions of their work.
I would say that Jeanne above has handled this negative feedback in a very positive and professional way, instead of whinging that the comments are unfair she has taken a proactive approach to it, and as i read it, i would be more inclined to use her business now because of her attitude and response to this.
Nice work Jeanne, you've turned a piss poor review into a great advertisment, kudos to you.

i have also been at customer at TNDS and loved it! i only went in for a massage, and it was great! i cannot remember the girl that did my massage but i left happy.

i really like how i got to choose which scented oil you use :)

I was given a voucher for a hot rock massage and it was GR8. I thought the staff were fantastic and the service the same. I came out so relaxed.
I am not sure what you where expecting?? some sort of day retreat like you see in the movies? I looked at the packages and there is so much to offer. I have been back a few times and will continue.
I think the first response was NOT REALISTIC!! I think some times b4 u write a neg womf u should at least speak to someone at the premises about your complaint
