I've only ever had great experiences with these guys.

Jamey did a great job on my hair the first time I went there but she's usually booked out well in advance. The other ladies have done just as great a job for me too.

The best part of the whole process is sitting in the massage chairs while you get your hair washed and a head massage. Mmmmmm

A few months ago I went to Emphasis. I actually wasn't that impressed with this salon. My mum had been there and told me it was great. When I arrived there with a friend I was initially impressed, but after 3 hours (yes 3, way too long) in the salon, I noticed that there seemed to be alot of rudeness from staff to staff. A very uncomfortable experience. I thought maybe I was imagining it, but then the next day my friend mentioned to me the bad vibe she had noticed. We felt like intruders. Cut and colour was fine though.

I use to be an emphasis customer. Yes they are great and I was always happy with my hair.. however on occasions, i agree, you could feel the tension between staff members!! And yes sometimes you did feel like you were intruding!

I loved having my hair done at emphasis. The girl that was cutting my hair listened to exactly what i wanted and delivered. I walked out of there feeling a million dollars. Best service ever. I definately will be back again.

I am a new emphasis girl - but once in those dorrs - i wont look for another - the staff are fantastic and with mgmt like Kellie and Charlene you know you wil always be looked after!!

I trust them so much i am having my wedding through them nd they take such pride in the finer details even the wedding package is catered to make you feel a million dollars.

If the staff werent enough the coffee's are perfect.

I love them - every store has a bad day - and i am sorry you are a once off experience person KAK and Abicus - but they looked after me and i will always go back.

I am amazed at all the good comments - I recently went there only to have my hair hacked and colour - well lets just say washed out look is a compliment. So after spending $150 I had to then have another hairdresser fix it at expense of another $150 - I know I could have gone back there to have my colour fixed but of course i wasn't going to take the risk and as for fixing my hair cut not much you could do short of providing me with hair extensions. They were not even concerned when i cancelled my next appointment. The response I received was "Oh sorry" NEVER AGAIN worst salon in townsville as far I'm concerned

i have recently moved to townsville and a, very fussy when it comes to my hair. I found emphasis on the net and they offered an awesome deal for fist time customers. Kirstie was my hairdresser and she was fantastic creating a cut and colour that matched my face. She made me feel comfortable and the hot chocolates are awesome so are the mocktails. Oh yeah there massage chairs are soooo relaxing.
I also took my mum there and she loved the colour and cut.
They also offer a gaurantee if your not happy they will redo it.

Well, I would have to agree with all the positive comments written above. Kellie and the team at Emphasis are great....

As a male, I am not interested in colour etc, just a great cut. I usually go in quickly, get a great head massage while relaxing in the comfy massage chairs getting my hair washed. Then it is a quick transfer to the cutting bit...my hairdresser takes the time to check how happy I was with the last cut, if I want anything changed etc, then she expertly cuts my hair while engaging in great conversation.

For anyone who may not be 100% happy, let them know then and there, I know the team would not be happy until you are happy!
